Rust Jungle Update: More Ways to Die Coming Soon

Great news—Rust’s next update is adding even more ways to die. The Jungle Update has slithered into the AUX3 branch, meaning player testing is likely coming soon. So if you thought dodging roof campers was bad, just wait until the new wildlife gets involved.

Here’s what’s coming:

• Jungle Biome – Thick vegetation, low visibility, and plenty of places to get ambushed. Basically, a paradise for sweaty bush campers.
• Ziggurat Monument – A new ancient ruin filled with loot, traps, and at least one guy waiting to shotgun you in the back.
• Exotic Wildlife – Crocodiles, tigers, and venomous snakes. Because apparently Rust needed more things that bite.
• New Weapons – A blowpipe for sneaky rat gameplay and a boomerang for… well, let’s be honest, it’s just another way to miss your shots.
• Vine Swinging – Now you can gracefully swing through the jungle before falling to your death like an idiot.
